We invite the children of your community to join in an exciting digital animation workshop with Arena Theatre Company
HIDDEN CREATURE GALLERY is perfect for your venue’s recovery phase after COVID19 if you are trying to activate outdoor spaces or foyers and utilise alternatives to your theatre auditoriums. This work is completely flexible and can be delivered with social distancing in place. Group sizes can be small or large depending on restrictions and the activity can be adapted to your individual requirements and COVID Safe Plan. Our artists will spend a week at your venue, engaging with your community, empowering young people to express themselves through creativity. We can set up a Creature Lab in a space in your venue, or we can go out to schools and community groups to work with them directly. We can run up to 6 workshops per day. Children are shown how to create incredible animated creatures and we then ‘hide’ them around your venue or outdoor space using augmented reality technology. Your community are invited to hunt for the creatures using their smart devices to make the creatures come to life.
Very importantly, this project can also be delivered remotely if travel restrictions come into play. Our artists can work with a local artist or teacher in your community to facilitate the workshops remotely and then work with your venue staff to deliver the presentation outcome at the end of the week, so speak to us about our flexible options.
Robot Song is one of the most refreshing and remarkable works I've seen in 25 years. 10/10

Audience & Marketing Notes
This project is aimed at schools and families, with a participant age range of 8 to 16, but the hunt can be enjoyed by all ages.
You can market this as a COVID Safe activity and we can work with your venue guidelines to ensure we meet this brief.
- STEM focused. Interactive. Building creative thinkers.
- This activity is in itself a community engagement activity. Having Arena resident in your venue for a whole week allows us to build up connections with the community. They feel invested in the outcome of the residency and they bring their friends and family to see the final presentation day.
