With only four weeks until Showcase Victoria 2017 takes place at Melbourne’s Malthouse Theatre, we’re excited to update you on preparations for the Victorian Touring Forum, which forms part of the incredible program on day one, Wednesday 31 May.
Facilitated by international artistic director, chief executive and cultural leader Jonathan Holloway, the Victorian Touring Forum will pose the question “Why is touring important and what will it look like in five years?”.
An industry panel made up of independent artist Ben Graetz, producer Viv Rosman from Polyglot Theatre, presenter Penny Hargrave from Wangaratta PAC, tour coordinator Luke Harriman from arTour, publicist Tatia Sloley and funder Andrew Donovan from Australia Council for the Arts, will discuss their touring experience including national and international models that may inform the future of touring in Victoria.
With maximum audience input and no doubt a smattering of Jonathan’s jokes, this is an industry conversation you can’t afford to miss!
